Canadian slate is one of the noblest and most fascinating materials we can find on this earth.  Of high density, Canadian slate resists frost and tolerates heavy use. Less porous than granite, it does not react to acids and is totally renewable, which makes it a product of choice for any type of surface.

Slate from India, China or Brazil contains pyrite that oxidizes in contact with water, causing constant separation of layers. Slates from those countries are very porous and require regular applications of sealant. Canadian slate does not pose these problems. It offers  matchless durability.
